Dementia Action Week

20th – 26th May 2019

This Dementia Action Week we’re encouraging everyone to take action by starting a conversation with someone living with dementia they know; whether it’s calling a relative with dementia or visiting a neighbour, it’s time to start talking.

Dementia is not a natural part of aging and it doesn’t just affect older people.  Over 40,000 people under 65 in the UK have dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society can also provide expert information and support to anyone affected by dementia.

If you have any concerns about your memory loss or about the memory of someone else, it may be a good idea to talk to your GP about the early signs of dementia. Telephone Uppingham Surgery on 01572 823531 to make your appointment.
